Manual and exploratory testing for Veda (School MIS) and Merosiksha (E-learning platform) deployed nationally.
As an IT Facilitator with the Government of Nepal in Lumbini province, I was embedded in the quality assurance process for two nationally deployed educational technology platforms: Veda (School Management Information System) and Merosiksha (an e-learning platform).
These systems were being used by government schools across the province, making quality a matter of public service delivery.
**The Problem**
Government-deployed educational software serving thousands of students and teachers across diverse school environments faced unique quality challenges: inconsistent network conditions, varying hardware capabilities, multi-language content requirements, and user populations with limited technical literacy. Bugs weren't just inconveniences — they disrupted academic operations.
**The Approach**
I developed structured test plans covering core workflows: student enrollment, attendance tracking, grade management, and content delivery. Exploratory testing sessions simulated real-world usage patterns including edge cases specific to the Nepali educational context.
All defects were logged with detailed reproduction steps and severity classifications in JIRA and communicated to the development team. I also facilitated user acceptance testing sessions with school administrators, translating technical findings into actionable feedback for the development team.
